Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Karighar India ("we," "us," "our," or "the platform") governing your access to and use of the Karighar India website and any related services. By creating an account or otherwise using the platform, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Karighar India.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding contract under Indian law to create an account. Companies registering on the platform must be represented by someone with authority to bind that company to these Terms.

Our Role: A Marketplace, Not an Employer

Karighar India is a marketplace that helps customers discover and connect with independent karighars, companies, and students. We are not a party to the agreement between a customer and a karighar for any job, service, or work performed — that agreement, including price, scope, timing, and quality, is between the customer and the karighar directly. Karighars, companies, and students who use the platform are independent third parties, not employees, agents, franchisees, or partners of Karighar India, and we don't direct, supervise, or control how they carry out their work.

Accounts & Security

You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it up to date. You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access — see Contact below. One account per person or business; don't create an account on someone else's behalf without authorization.

Terms for Customers

As a customer, you can search for and contact karighars listed on the platform. Karighar India doesn't guarantee the availability, price, quality, timeliness, or outcome of any work performed by a karighar you contact — profile information, ratings, and verification badges (where shown) are provided to help you make an informed choice, not as a guarantee. Any agreement you reach with a karighar about a job — including price and payment — is between you and that karighar.

Terms for Karighars, Companies & Students

As a karighar, company, or student on the platform, you agree that: your profile information is accurate and kept up to date; you hold any licences, permits, GST registration, or insurance required by law for the trade or work you offer; you're solely responsible for the quality, safety, and legality of work you perform; and you're responsible for your own tax obligations related to income earned through jobs found via the platform. Karighar India does not employ you, does not set your rates, and does not guarantee you any minimum amount of work or leads.

Verification & Badges

Where the platform shows a "Verified" badge or similar trust signal, it reflects a manual review process described in our Trust & Safety Center. As disclosed in our Privacy Policy, document upload for verification is not yet fully wired to real storage and review on the backend — until that's live, a "Verified" badge should not be relied on as confirming that a formal document review has taken place for every listed profile. We'll update this section as that pipeline goes live.

Payments

Karighar India does not currently process, hold, or take a commission on any payment between a customer and a karighar. Customers and karighars arrange and settle payment for jobs directly between themselves, by whatever method they agree on (cash, UPI, bank transfer, etc.) — we are not a party to that transaction and are not responsible for disputes about payment, refunds, or pricing. If we introduce in-platform payments in the future, this section will be updated before that feature goes live.

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information in your profile, including fake credentials, fake ratings, or impersonating another person or business.
• Post or send unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit content.
• Attempt to circumvent our verification process or manipulate ratings and reviews.
• Use the platform to solicit for anything unrelated to its purpose, including spam, scams, or unrelated advertising.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or use automated tools to access the platform outside of normal, individual human use.
• Interfere with the platform's security, availability, or normal operation.

We may investigate and take action against accounts that violate these rules, including removing content, warning, suspending, or terminating accounts, and reporting unlawful activity to relevant authorities where appropriate.

Your Content & Reviews

You retain ownership of the profile information, photos, and reviews you submit ("your content"). By posting it, you grant Karighar India a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, and distribute your content on the platform for the purpose of operating and promoting the marketplace. Reviews should reflect a genuine, completed interaction — we may remove reviews or content that violate our Trust & Safety guidelines, including fake or incentivized reviews.

Intellectual Property

The Karighar India name, logo, design, and the platform's own text, graphics, and code (excluding your content) are owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not copy, modify, or use them without our prior written permission, except as needed for your own normal, personal use of the platform.

Disclaimers

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including — to the fullest extent permitted by law — warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure, or that any karighar, company, or student listed will meet your expectations or requirements.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Indian law, Karighar India, its founders, and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the platform or from any job, service, or interaction between a customer and a karighar. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the platform is limited to [amount / cap to be set with legal counsel — e.g., ₹5,000 or the fees you paid us in the past 12 months, whichever is higher]. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Karighar India harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the platform, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

Suspension & Termination

You may stop using the platform and request account deletion at any time — see our Privacy Policy for how. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if we're required to by law, or if we reasonably believe your account poses a risk to the platform, other users, or Karighar India. Where practical, we'll try to give notice and an opportunity to explain before doing so.

Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the platform will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [city — to be set with legal counsel, e.g. Indore, Madhya Pradesh], India. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the platform evolves or as Indian law changes. Continuing to use the platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
